Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Conrad Studio collects through conrad.studio, how it's used and the choices you have. Conrad Studio is run by Aliya Conrad in Victoria, BC, Canada. If you have any questions, email aliya@conrad.studio.

What I collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, and anything else you choose to share about your business or project.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up for new posts.
• Emails and calls: anything you send me directly while we're talking about a project.
• Analytics: Google Analytics collects information about how people use the site, such as the pages visited, how long they stay, the type of device and browser, the website that referred them and an approximate location. It uses cookies to do this.

How I use it

• To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to deliver the project.
• To send new posts by email, only if you signed up. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
• To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.

I don't sell your personal information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who I share it with

I use a small number of service providers to run the site and my business:

• Webflow, which hosts the site and stores form submissions, including newsletter sign-ups.
• Google Analytics, for website analytics.
• Google Workspace, for email, documents and file storage.
• Notion, for project notes and planning.
• AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT, which I use to help with research, drafting and analysis.

These providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.

Cookies and browser storage

Google Analytics sets cookies to measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

The site also saves a couple of small settings in your browser, such as whether you've turned on light mode. These stay on your device and aren't sent to me.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiries and project information for as long as I need them to respond, deliver the work and keep normal business records. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, correct it, have it deleted or withdraw your consent to its use at any time. Email aliya@conrad.studio and I'll get back to you within 30 days.

If you're in the EU or UK, you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In Canada, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Keeping it safe

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using reputable providers and limiting who has access. No website or email is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive information like passwords or payment details through the contact form.

Children

This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 16. I don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, I'll update it here and change the date at the top.
