Geeks on the Beach is a web design and digital marketing agency with more than 750 Google reviews, and SEO is one of its core services. But when I checked how AI tools answered the questions buyers ask when they're looking for an SEO agency, Geeks wasn't being mentioned or cited. ChatGPT was recommending competitors instead.
I'd seen how far one cited page can reach before this project. In February 2026, ChatGPT and Google's AI Mode both cited a post I wrote on how to structure SEO page titles, and Semrush's estimated monthly AI audience for Geeks jumped from 1.1K in January to 18.3K, a 1,533% increase. That's what I set out to repeat with the SEO service page, this time for the questions buyers ask before hiring an agency.
Semrush's AI visibility data comes from more than 317 million prompts that it runs through ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode, and Gemini. Mentions count how often a brand is named in those answers, and monthly audience is Semrush's estimate of how many people see an answer that mentions the brand, based on how often those prompts are asked.
So I built the page AI tools would need to recommend Geeks with confidence. In summer 2026, I published a dedicated SEO service page with pricing visible on the page, schema markup so search engines and AI tools could read the details, and content built around the questions buyers ask before hiring an SEO agency. I kept updating it over the following months based on which questions came up most.
Between June and October 2026, Geeks on the Beach's AI mentions grew 140%, from 5 to 12 in Semrush's AI visibility data. Content from the new page was also picked up in a "best SEO companies" roundup that ChatGPT now cites as a source. And for one of the core SEO prompts I track in ChatGPT, the Geeks site went from not being linked to ChatGPT citing it as its top source.
The gains came from two places at once. The page gave AI tools clear, specific details about Geeks' SEO services and pricing, and the roundup that picked up its content gave ChatGPT a source it already trusted. It's the same approach I use with B2B SaaS teams: make your own pages easy for AI tools to quote, then earn mentions on the sites those tools already rely on. I'm now tracking a wider set of SEO prompts in ChatGPT to measure how often Geeks is named as the page keeps building.
